Training was held in the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre of the Republic of Macedonia from 23 to 25 April 2018, conducted by representatives of the Dutch Cadastre, experts from the NSDI area. The training was organized as part of the SPATIAL project (Strengthened Professional Access to Land in the Western Balkan Region), funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the MATRA Pre-Accession Program.
The training was organized for representatives of the relevant departments within the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre, including the IT and Geomatics sectors, but also for representatives of the members of the Council of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI): Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Interior culture, State Statistical Office, Crisis Management Center, City of Skopje, as well as representatives of the firm GDI-Skopje. The workshop was also attended by the guests from the Republic Geodetic Institute of the Republic of Serbia who presented their experience in the field of national infrastructure and spatial data.
In addition to the training of trainers, from which participants learned to train in the NSDI area from "data to public database access and their technical management", visitors also gained knowledge on the use of many types of software and platforms (Qgis, Geonetwork , Geoserver, Apache webserver, Tomcat, Hale, INSPIRE validator and Enterprise architect), for creating metadata / services and publishing them.
