On February 23 and 24, 2016, Macedonian National Workshop was held at the M6 Educational Center in Skopje under the auspices of the regional IMPULS project.

On the first day of the workshop, in the first session, the Swedish consultants presented their experiences in the field of INSPIRE Directive, coordination and establishment of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). As important elements for the successful implementation of the NSDI, they emphasized the need for continued mutual collaboration between the NSDI actors and building mutual trust.

The NSDI entities in the Republic of Macedonia presented the NSDI activities at national level, as well as the activities implemented in the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre, the Crisis Management Center and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy.

The second day of the workshop was dedicated to transferring the experiences gained from the IMPULS project into three work packages: 3-Data Harmonization, 4-Metadata and 5-Web Services. The presentations were prepared and elaborated in detail by the employees of the Real Estate Cadastre Agency participating in the IMPULS project. Each presentation was followed by a rich discussion that directly exchanged experiences. Participants emphasized the need for more frequent workshops of this type to exchange the knowledge gained in the field of NSDI.
